The Second Biennial Conference KMA 2007 will deepen KMA’s role as a mediator in the sustainable transfer of knowledge through knowledge communities and electronic infrastructure.
 
The Conference will focus on exploring practical implementation strategies and examine working models and theory that advance the way in which Africa harnesses its knowledge potential.
 
In this way, KMA will nurture a new generation of leaders and torch-bearers in Africa, re-energize institutions and formulate new frames of reference to consolidate Africa’s renaissance.
 
The Second Biennial Conference KMA 2007 is hosted by the Ministry of Planning and National Development, Government of Kenya, in partnership with the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), the University of the Witwatersrand and is supported by a number of other agencies and institutions.

A Segunda Conferência Bienal KMA 2007 aprofundará o papel da KMA como intermediária na transferência sustentável de conhecimentos através de comunidades de informação e infrastruturas electrónicas.
 
A Conferência centrar-se-á na exploração de estratégias de implementação práticas e examinará modelos práticos e teóricos que avancem a maneira como a África aproveita o seu potencial de informação.
 
Deste modo, KMA estimulará uma nova geração de líderes e pioneiros em África, incutirá energia às instituições e formulará novos pontos de referência para consolidar a renascença africana.
 
A Segunda Conferência Bienal KMA 2007 é organizada pelo Ministério do Planeamento e Desenvolvimento Nacional, governo do Quénia, em parceria com o Banco do Desenvolvimento da África Austral (BDAA), a Universidade de Witwatersrand, e é subsidiada por várias outras agências e instituições.

La Deuxième Conférence Biennale KMA 2007 approfondira le rôle de médiateur de KMA dans le transfert durable des savoirs par l’intermédiaire de communautés de connaissances et d’infrastructures électroniques.
 
La Conférence se concentrera sur l’exploration de stratégies pratiques de mise en œuvre et examinera des modèles de travail et des théories qui pourront faire avancer la manière dont l’Afrique exploite son potentiel de connaissances. Ainsi KMA nourrira une nouvelle génération de leaders et de champions en Afrique, revitalisera les institutions et formulera de nouvelles attributions destinées à consolider la renaissance de l’Afrique.
 
La Deuxième Conférence Biennale KMA 2007 est accueillie par le ministère kenyan de Planification et de Développement national, en partenariat avec la Banque de Développement de l’Afrique Australe (DBSA) et l’Université du Witwatersrand ; elle jouit également du soutien de plusieurs autres organismes et institutions.
 
 
Expected Outcomes
  • A hunger for knowledge, innovation and the creation of learning organisations.
  • An increased awareness of knowledge management and existing and potential knowledge institutions (communities of interest and the like).
  • An improved use of knowledge to promote development on the continent. The establishment of networks, communities  of interest and stretegic partnerships.
  • Access to financial resource to promote knowledge management.
  • An increased profile for KM Africa.
